Saddysa, born in Italy to Congolese parents, experienced a musically rich upbringing, also influenced by the civil wars in Congo-Brazzaville where she discovered the beauty and diversity of African music. After moving to Cameroon, she developed her vocal and songwriting skills through choral participation and collaborative projects, eventually releasing her own music once in Canada.
Née en Italie de parents congolais, Saddysa a grandi dans un environnement musicalement riche, aussi marqué par les guerres civiles au Congo-Brazzaville où elle a découvert la beauté et la diversité de la musique africaine. Après son arrivée au Cameroun, elle a bâti ses compétences en chant et composition au sein de chorales et de projets collaboratifs, avant de travailler sur ses propres albums une fois rendue au Canada.

Terre choisie
I challenged myself and decided to learn how to play the piano during the pandemic. Completing a 90-day training based on the jazz method, I was inspired to write new songs. “Terre Choisie” (Chosen Land) is the title of my latest album showcasing these songs, celebrating Mama Africa.
Je me suis mise au défi d'apprendre le piano pendant la pandémie. Au terme de 90 jours de formation en ligne à la méthode jazz, j'ai été inspirée à composer de nouvelles chansons. “Terre Choisie” est mon plus récent album qui regroupe ces compositions en l’honneur de ma terre d’origine, l’Afrique.
